Samuel, Meet Sophie
Saturday night, Gram and Pops brought Sophie back home. It had been two weeks since we'd seen her - the longest we've ever been apart, by far. She was excited to see us and didn't pay too much attention to brother Sam. As long as she had a lap to sit on, she didn't care what
he
was doing.
Today she's a little unsettled. She follows me wherever I go, especially if Sam's in his playpen. It's like she's scared to be alone with him. She barks at me when I feed Sam, so I may have to put her away from now on while I feed him. She growls at him a little (without even lifting her head) when he cries or makes his baby noises. I felt really guilty when I took Samuel on a walk - and left Sophie at home. She looked so sad. It was my first walk alone with Sam and I didn't want to try and tackle both children at the same time. I promised her she could go with us next time.
It will take some adjustment, but I hope they'll be friends soon. We're just glad to have our fur-baby, our first baby, home with us again!
