The Coolest

Big brothers think of the coolest stuff to do.  While I was cleaning up the breakfast dishes one morning last week I heard a crazy cackle coming from my room. Sam had taken every pillow in the house and made a giant pillow bed on the floor of my bedroom and, to Evie, it was the greatest thing she had ever seen.  She rolled and flopped and cackled on that thing for the longest time and later on that day took a whopper of a nap!  Thank you Sam!

Six a.m. Dance Party

This young lady woke me up at six in the morning wanting to dance.  As soon as I picked her up out of her crib she bopped her little head, pointed to the living room and said "dah?  dah?".

I can beam kids' dance videos to the television through an app on my phone.  She loves it and it's hilarious to watch her groove to the beat, but this six a.m. dance party made for a very long day.

A Different Park

These were taken quite a while ago.  My computer's been acting up, so it's been difficult to both edit and blog.  Sometimes we drive to this park on the north side of the neighborhood when we get bored with the park across the street from our house.  Evie's happy anywhere as long as there are swings, and Sam likes the unusual equipment here.  He was proud of himself for figuring out how to balance on this spinning circle.

Playtime

Just some snaps from a recent chilly, overcast morning.  We've had a lot of those lately, it seems.  She enjoyed her room that day, for sure.  See that bruise?  It's hard to miss; it's a big one.  She fell against the kitchen cabinets, basically from a standing position.  Not sure how it happened, but it left a nasty mark on that chubby widdle cheek.
