Happy Heart Day
These kids are all set for Valentine’s Day this year. Daddy’s in Houston, so we went for dinner at Fuzzy’s, then stayed up late signing Valentines for friends and decorating their boxes. So fun!

As a Student Council member, Sam was fortunate to be able to serve the community again, this time working with the organization LovePacs which provides food to families in need. This particular event was to prepare boxes of food, or Love Pacs, for Little Elm families over the upcoming spring break vacation. I went along as a chaperone, but the kids do most of the work. We had some great dads there, too, to help with the heavy lifting. LovePacs was very organized and even took the time to teach the kids a little bit about what LovePacs does and why they do it. The kids packed 100 boxes - all that they had - assembly-line style in just over an hour. Even Evie came along and ended up helping the "big girls" who were decorating the boxes with cheerful and colorful pictures and designs. It was a great learning opportunity for Sam and I'm looking forward to us working with LovePacs again next year.

Celebrated our first big birthday party with this kid! He wanted to go to Strikz to play games and have pizza and cake so that's what we did! He invited his good friends Tyler and Sawyer, (and Peyton, too, but he couldn't make it) and we had a fun afternoon. Can't believe he's NINE!
